What exactly is Tele Therapy
Tele Therapy is the application of telecommunications technology to the delivery of speech language pathology services at a distance by linking clinician to client for evaluation, treatment intervention, and/or consultation. There are many synonymous terms to refer to Tele Therapy, such as, Tele Practice, Telehealth, Telemedicine, virtual therapy and Tele- rehabilitation. Providing speech language services from a distance is not necessarily a new concept. It was introduced to the field in the 1990s, and has been gradually evolving ever since.
